Holistic Action For Haiti

Agricultural and Industrial Production.

Updated: Jul 23, 2020

This division will cover the four most strategic sub sectors of the national economy industrial and agricultural which are correlated.

1. The agricultural production : HAT-HAITI will take care of its own plantations and will support the peasant associations in different production fields ( corn, peanut, cassava and lime-lemon). The harvest willl serve first the local market and then, feed the agro industries in the industrial parks . The surplus, if any, will be exported. In any case, the local small and medium enterprises will benefit from AHT-HAITI program all kind of support to empower them and help them get the raw materials, a technical support and a hand to transform and commercialize their products.

2. The fishing program will exploit the immense fishing potential of Haitian waters. In the same time, it will facilitate the devlopment of the existing fisherman villages along the coasts. All the aspects in the fishing activities will be taken into account upstream and downstream. The local groups of merchants will receive enough technical assistance to organize themselves and a funding will be also made available. Several workshops on sea equipments repair, promotion of the sustainable environment will be given as well. All that could be achieved directly by HAT-HAITI or in public private partnership, or with local enterprises that need to be renforced or created.

3. The Poultry development program is an economic interagtion model where a poultry industry both vertical and circular will be developped. HAT-HAITI branches or agencies will get involved directly in various niches to satisfy the needs linked to the production and in the same time respond to the demand from the local enterprises involved in the production.

The system will content :

1) A central fertile egg farm

2) A large capacity incubator to produce the necessary chicks

3) A food production plant

4) A pharmaceutical structure for drugs

5) A egg and chicken production farm

6) Central slaughterhouses in large production area

7) Skilled network merchants, equipped and funded to commercialize

8) Franchise restaurant chains based on chicken produced in the network

In this, HAT-HAITI will partner with existing enterprises, well experienced in the poultry industry. We intend to satisfy at least 25% of the national market demand.

4. The microparks respond to the need to equip the Haitian territory mainly in primary production areas, of industrial infrastructure making it possible to accommodate the SMEs which will embark on industrial transformation and commercialization. They will offer secure commercial and industrial spaces, with energy and hydraulic autonomy, with local servicing and maintenance services, legal services and management. In each micropark the factories will be defined according to the raw materials available. Each micropark should host at least a dozen companies, including support services.

Technical and professional training is also one of the pillars on which Holistic’s vision is built. It is about building the human capital necessary for the functioning of businesses and the entire national economy. Holistic will thus help to create the technical and professional frameworks necessary both for the companies in its network and for the regions where it is established and all countries. To achieve this, Holistic will set up a central campus in the Center Department and 2 regional campuses, one in the North and one in the South. In these technical and vocational training centers, practical courses will be provided for young people in all areas for which jobs will already be provided through the global program. About 400 young people per year should be trained in these centers, from the 3rd year. Young people will be recruited by regional or national competition. They will be received in full board. Financial merit support and adapted credit programs will be made available to them. A detailed list of training programs will be available shortly.
